Us

We are a design duo based in London with a background in regenerative design, interior architecture and horticulture. We have a shared passion for emotionally intelligent restorative design, based upon a profound respect for the wisdom of nature and the positive emotional and physical impact this has on our lives.

Aterre; earthbound, from the earth, represents both our ethos and shared french heritage. We collaborate across multi-disciplinary fields to innovate and create sustainable design solutions to create a world more aligned, more respectful and more symbiotic with the planet that sustains us. Our hope is to play a meaningful part in an ever growing community of biophilic and regenerative designers creating a more uplifting, nurturing, environmentally conscious way of living and designing the world in which we live.

As a team we bring our relevant experience to the studio, Adrian specialises in Regenerative Urban Planting, Plantscapes and Biophilia, whilst Anouska specialises in Regenerative Design and Regenerative Practice and hosts our Eco Cities Talk Series.

What Our Clients Say

“From design, to ordering and installation, Aterre services were efficient, professional and cost-effective. The design took into account our company culture, branding and the space and lighting conditions and they executed a vibrant and very manageable solution. It’s so important to have a work environment that is comfortable and the new planting definitely brings a stylish, calming and homely effect to the office. The feedback from our team has been so positive.
I’d definitely recommend Aterre for your planting needs, not only are they helpful and knowledgeable but they are also a fully sustainable company.”

— Louise Neilson - State of Play Hospitality

Aterre Studio created the fantastic plant display at The Gingerbread City this year. They were lovely to work with and took such care in choosing the plants, caring for them and in the overall design of the display. We were thrilled with the results and would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Philosophy

We see the future thriving at the intersection between regenerative design, technology and the natural world to create naturally health infused sustainable spaces and architectural systems. Only through such collaborations can we create the places and spaces that will enable humans to live in sustainable, technologically advanced, natural environments. The time has come to be holistically Planet Conscious.

We look to living systems, traditional wisdom and design psychology to influence the designs of the future to benefit humans and the planet we live on. Creating symbiotic spaces for cities, communities, individuals and the planet to thrive.

Ethics

Our aim is to ensure that everything we use in terms of suppliers, products, transport, packaging or where possible in general use is as planet conscious as possible within current limitations. We have gone to great lengths to provide our designs and services along these circular and sustainable principles. We welcome clients that are inspired to push their eco credentials to the hilt, in a world of green washing, we try to match our words with our actions and encourage our clients to do the same, we hope you'll join us in our commitment to a planet conscious approach.
