Alocasia zebrina

£99.00

Native to the Phillipines, these plants are often called Elephant Ears. The zebrina can grow up to 1.8 metres in height, it has large arrowhead shaped leaves and beautiful zebra skin patterned stems, which make it stand out in the Alocasia family. As an undergrowth plant it does not like direct sunlight, but bright indirect sunlight is ideal. It can handle a slightly less bright space but may tend to grow longer stems and smaller leaves to compensate. Water once the top 5cm of soil dries out, but do not allow the roots to stand in water for long as this will lead to the roots rotting. Well-draining potting mix of equal parts peat, perlite, and compost works well.

Plant details:

  • Plant approx. 90-100cm in height

  • Delivered in a 24cm coir pot

  • Fits decorative 25cm upwards

  • Decorative pot not included

  • Fits perfectly in our Asterales, Inversion 3 and Kintsugi
