Philodendron 'fun bun'

Native to the northern regions of South America and also called Thaumatophyllum spruceanum. Fun bun can grow up to 1.5 metres in height and have a spread of 1.5 metres indoors, its long thin stems end with a unique crescent of finger shaped leaves. Established plants have woody ‘trunks’ that the stems grow out of giving the effect of a small shrub. Fun bun prefer their soil never to dry out completely, when the plant is in its growing phase, water it when the top 3-5 cm of soil has dried. When the plant is not growing, usually in the winter months, water once the soil has almost completely dried. Use soil that drains very freely and has a good amount of organic compost.
